Solution For Partial Or Complete Tooth Loss With Customized Dentures

Losing a tooth, or several, is not something that most people expect. Even as we age, we want to keep our natural teeth. Dr. Saleem and our team strive to prevent tooth loss as much as possible. We work to develop a plan for hygiene, healthy choices, and professional care that will foster optimal oral health for life.

Patients who require dentures can also find the care they need in our Carrollton office. We understand the negative effect that tooth loss can have on your life. From cosmetic appearance to speaking clearly to chewing food well, you need a full set of functional teeth. Our focus in providing denture care is to restore the appearance and natural feel that you need to regain confidence when eating, speaking, and smiling.

Dentures have long been a viable solution for partial or complete tooth loss. This method of replacement is convenient and affordable. We also make it quick! Knowing that you really would rather not spend any time without teeth, Dr. Saleem creates a nice-looking temporary denture for you to wear while your final one is perfected in a dental lab. Additionally, he offers the level of customization that you would expect from an exceptional dentist.

Partial and full dentures are made to fit against your gums with ease. Care is taken to achieve an optimal fit that will keep dentures stabilized and fully functional. An important aspect of treatment that patients need to understand is that, over time, dentures will need to be relined in order to maintain this fit. This is because the height and density of the jawbone decreases gradually in the absence of tooth roots.

One way that we help our patients obtain the greatest extent of function and stability is with dental implants. These fixtures replace missing roots. Many people recognize dental implants value in replacing a single tooth, but our patients also discover the benefit of implant support beneath their bridge or full denture.

Our practice has been established with you in mind. If your teeth are failing or you have lost several teeth, we can help you extend the life of your happy, healthy smile. Your comfort and satisfaction are important to us. When you consult with our team, we take the time to get to know you and the expectations you have of denture treatment. Options that may meet your needs are fully explained, empowering you to confidently determine the best course of treatment to restore a functional, healthy mouth.

What options do you have for dentures?
Nowadays we have a lot of options and that is where we can help you to narrow out the options to fit your lifestyle and budget.

Do you recommend implant dentures?
What I consider now is the standard of care is implant dentures, so rather than having all those gooey dentures which you might remember seeing your grandparents putting on. We have moved from it and have better options now.

What are the benefits of implant dentures?
Having implant dentures can make your teeth secure, you can bite into an apple, enjoy things which you might struggle to do with regular dentures.

There are fixed dentures options too for clients who are really looking for something more, as they don’t want to feel that the implants are going to come out or not.

What are the three options available at your practice?
We have three options going on. The regular denture, the implant overdenture and the fixed hybrid denture whichever fits your lifestyle and your budget.

How long do dentures last?
Usually, if you take care most of the dentures last for 7 years because it all depends on how your bone underneath is, how much your gums are shrinking, your general health, and a lot of factors come in.

If you take care of your dentures and everything goes within the normal range, we should expect these dentures to last for 7 years without any issue.
